Fall Live Music at the Driftwood Café
Thursday evenings at the Driftwood Café offer fresh dishes, summer ciders and some of the best live musicians Tofino has to offer! Our August lineup welcomes the following artists to delight you with their tunes every Thursday evening from 6:30 - 9:00pm. No tickets required.
October 18th: The affable Joel Gray has been playing music and sharing smiles in Tofino for the past eight years. Be it funk, country, or rock, he enjoys composing, playing and singing songs about love, life, and loss on the Wild West Coast.
November 1st: Audrey Nadeau is a young Canadian cellist who graduated from Juilliard with a Bachelor and a Masters in Music in 2013. Since then, she has not only maintained regular classical cello solo appearances but undertook to improvise in alternative genres of music.
November 15th: Lance Lapointe Band surfaced in 2008 from Vancouver Island. Winner of the "Spirit of Music" award from the Port Alberni Chamber of Commerce, he's also been working at the Van Howes Studio in LA on a new CD and songs. Lance's performance will bring you through a versatile set full of unique, emotional original and cover music that will surely make your senses reel for more.
November 29th: Geoff Johnson's adventure in music began with The Beatles and always seems to return to the music of their time. While he can often be heard playing raucous rock and roll up and down the coast and spinning tracks on the local radio station he loves to sit down in a quiet room with an acoustic guitar to play the melodic 60s and 70s tunes that turned him and so many others into music lovers. In addition to The Fab Four expect some Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix, Van Morrison and the like as well as an original tune or two.
