Reynaldo (Coy) Cabrera
For Reynaldo “Coy” Cabrera, hospitality has always been a craft rooted in care, connection, and thoughtful leadership. With more than a decade of experience both at the Wickaninnish Inn and abroad, he brings a deep understanding of service that is both intuitive and refined — shaped by years of learning, returning, and growing alongside the team.
Coy’s passion for hospitality began in Manila, where he completed his degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management at De La Salle University – College of Saint Benilde. From early roles in fine dining to leading teams in fast-paced operations, he developed a keen sense for how service can shape an experience. His career path includes Restaurant Manager at Lemuria Fine Dining, Operations Manager at Bugsy’s Sports Bar and Bistro, and leadership positions with Teletech and Quantrics Enterprises, all of which strengthened his commitment to exceptional guest care and team mentorship. He also holds a WSET Level 2 Certification, deepening his appreciation for food and wine pairings as part of the dining narrative.
Coy’s journey with the Wickaninnish Inn spans more than ten years, marked by both loyalty and continual evolution. He first joined the team in 2009 as a Food and Beverage Attendant, later returning as a Day Server in 2014 and as a Room Attendant in 2018. In 2021, he rejoined the Restaurant team, where his dedication and steady leadership saw him rise quickly — to Restaurant Supervisor in 2022, Assistant Restaurant Manager in 2023, and now Restaurant Manager. His return this year, reflects not only his connection to the Inn but his belief that The Pointe is a truly special place to grow a career.
As Restaurant Manager, Coy leads with intention, warmth, and a deep respect for the collaborative spirit that defines The Pointe. He believes in creating an environment where every team member feels empowered to share ideas, learn from one another, and elevate the guest experience through genuine care. His approach aligns naturally with the Wickaninnish’s values: thoughtful, grounded hospitality shaped by the people who bring it to life each day.
Beyond the dining room, Coy is often exploring the West Coast, connecting with the landscapes and community that make Tofino feel like home. His return to the Wick marks a meaningful new chapter — one that blends experience, heart, and a longstanding dedication to the team and to the guest experience.
